A few minutes with 2024 Forward Matt Gilhool
Matt was the most impressive prospect at the Philly Pride Media Day. The 6'10" rangy forward displayed his versatility on the offensive end and controlled the paint defensively. Offensively, his soft touch around the paint and ability to stretch the floor to the perimeter were eye catching. Defensively, he used his length to change and block shots with either hands. The southpaw has the athletic pedigree to continue to grow. His dad played high school football and his mother was a D1 basketball player at American University in Washington D.C.. Schools are starting to contact Matt more consistently, but he is still searching to secure the elusive Division 1 offer. He's transferring to Westtown School (PA), which will create more exposure and preparation for the next level. In the meantime, coches can watch him with Philly Pride this summer on the UAA circuit.
