Drew McKenna is making his mark on the Class of 2024

A few weeks ago my source from the DMV reached out and told me to keep an eye on Drew. He was the same source that introduced me to Villanova commit Cam Whitmore three years ago. Needless to say, he has an eye for talent. Drew is a 6'7" wing with a talented skill set. High major programs are starting to lock in on Drew. I met with him, his Dad, and his Coach recently to discuss recruitment and a variety of topics.
Why should coaches consider you?
"Coaches should consider me because I'm a good teammate, I can play 1-5, and I really work hard on and off the court."
What keeps you motivated?
"Definitely my family and love for basketball."
What schools have been in contact?
"Louisville, Duke, Villanova, Virginia Tech, Illinois (offered), Pittsburgh, and Maryland."

How would you describe your playing style?
"I play at a good pace, I'm gritty, I play hard. I model my game after Jayson Tatum and Paul George, I want to get my game consistent like Kevin Durant but he's a different level and I want to get there eventually. I've recently been more interested in Herb Jones, he plays hard and understands his role."
What is your ultimate goal this AAU season?
"This AAU season I want to have fun with my teammates, I've known them for a while. We want to win Peach Jam, that's the main team goal."
